Bio
Andrew Bicsey a guitarist & singer-songwriter from Pittsburgh, PA, started his musical journey by studying nylon string guitar under Jim Relja. Later, with Ken Karsh at Duquesne university, Andrew quickly grew his knack for solo work and improvisation.
In the fall of 2023, Andrew released his first solo album, “Spilled Some Sounds.” The first single, Love is a Wildflower, premiered on 91.3 WYEP Bluegrass Jam Session with Bruce Mountjoy. The album is a dreamy, folky experiment, mixing elements of Bluegrass, Country, and Americana.
“Spilled Some Sounds” is streaming on all major platforms.
Around Pittsburgh, Andrew has performed with Jon Bindley’s Honkytonk Jukebox, headlined at venues such as Club Café, and opened up for Nelly Furtado, Ozomatli, and Jeremie Albino to name a few. Along with solo acoustic shows throughout the year, Andrew also performs with Dan Bubien and The Delta Struts.
In addition to his shows throughout the year, Andrew has been instructing Guitar Lessons since 2006. He brings a deep understanding of his instrument to the table, being able to understand what music your special moment needs and leaving patrons musically fulfilled.
